You must be a registered member of the forum to see the other categories and forums to participate. This isn't "all there is," the rest is just hidden!
If you don't have a lot of free time, don't worry! The game is set at a relaxing, slow pace to suit you. All I ask is that you stay active enough to be a part of the community.

Animation Source Horse Art Role Playing Game (AS-HARPG) is an unnoficial branch off of DeviantART's HorseArt-RPG group. The focus is not the quality of art; we welcome any level of artist with open arms!
As with the official group, the goal is to come together with all kinds of equestrian artists and have fun while maintaining creativity.
First, you must create a stable and register it (registration helps to insure that no one else in the game has you're stable's name). This includes its location, staff, head of horses (how many horses are there), the stable's specialty (do they breed a certain type of horse? certain profession of horse), and other things of the sort.
Then, create your "starter horse." This is the first registered (again, so no names are doubled up) horse within your stable. Many breeder stables incorporate their name into the horse's names [that are born there]. For example: Sugar Hill Stables breeds a foal and names it "Sugar's Surprise Storm." Many horses are also named for their parents; so the foal's mother (dam) would have had "Surprise" in her name, while the father (sire) would have had "Storm." For a starter horse this isn't as much of a worry; just remember that horses commonly had 3 words in their name. Thoroughbreds are normally smashed together, such as Sexliesandalibis for "Sex, Lies, and Alibis."
We also currently only accept realistic horses. To learn about the breed(s) of your choice and any possible traits/coat colors, please visit here (click here). If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me or any moderator(s).
In addition to artistic "role playing," we also accept literature submissions, and members can role play amongst one another in forums hidden from guests. It's not JUST about the art, people!
We all supply our members with resources -- valuable stock images, tutorials, and other vital learning possibilities -- that also go unseen by guests.
